i don't think this is mean.
If you are a teacher, and you type the word your when it should be you’re, I will absolutely judge you, much more harshly than I will judge an average person who makes that mistake. And lets face it, enough average non-teachers do make that error. So when I see a teacher do that, I see that as a big red flag. One I see waving FAR too often thanks to Facebook. It makes me wonder if my...

things i've learned (while packing).
I will preface this post with the fact that I am the opposite of a hoarder, upon first glance at my bedroom. It is always neat, clean, and orderly. Things have their place. Picture frames have their angle. Closet doors are meant to be closed. However, there are some things… 1. I have an unhealthy attachment to t-shirts in my pajama drawer. You know, the overflowing drawer filled with shirts...

almond milk.
I really know nothing about this stuff. But the actual name appeals to me. It sounds delectable, in fact. But please, somebody tell me, how does it taste? What do I do with it? Eat it with my cereal? Drink it straight from a glass? The same goes for soy milk. I like the name. Maybe because the brand is Silk. Who wouldn’t want to drink something called SILK? Trendy milk. Fill me in.

Things I've learned. Things I want to remember.
1. Really solid friendships are hard to come by. If you have a lot of friends, consider yourself lucky. If you have a handful of really great friends you can count on, consider yourself blessed. These friendships take work, as any relationship does. And the older we get, the more work they take. Everyone gets busy, wrapped up in their own lives, careers, relationships and cities. Sometimes we even...

calling all obsessive phone checkers →
Good article from my good friend Gina! This is all too true. Do you ever have those moments where you don’t know what else to do with yourself when you are alone, in public, waiting for something (like an elevator) or someone (like a friend at a restaurant)…so you whip out your phone? Scroll through it for a few seconds, and then you realize there was no real purpose other than to...

a time to be happy!
I was just offered a new job this morning! And I am beyond excited. A job that I am EXCITED about. A job that I think I am suited for. A job that I think is suited for me. A chance to prove myself. A chance to be put in a new environment. And work with new people. And make a new name for myself. I know it will take time, And I know it won’t be easy, And I know it will mean work. ...

BAFFLED.
By numerous people this morning. No, really. How and why are people the way they are? The craziest part, is that I think…that they think…that they are the normal ones. Scary, scary world.

can't complain.
So, I just spent the past 10-15 minutes reading this Teen Mom Recap on I’m Bringing Blogging Back, which forced border-line creepy chuckling (it was actually chuckles that were coming out), while scooping handfuls of raisins into my mouth as if they were popcorn at the movies. As you can see, I’m updating myself on all things important in the world.

thoughts as they are happening.
I think Maci still would take Ryan back based on how she interacts with him. Farrah is just awful. I don’t understand. Why. Gary will only wear a shirt that has Aeropostale written on it. Most of the time in cursive. Catelynn and Maci are good. Farrah and Amber are evil. Police involvement in family situations is far too normal for these girls. The only baby that has any chance of a...

maybe i'm catching up on teen mom right now.
Summer vacation is over and Tyler and I are starting our senior year. Things have been great for us lately. We just moved into our own apartment together, and Tyler’s dad Butch is getting out of jail after 8 months. Butch is married to my mom April, and last year she called the cops on him. And now theyre not allowed to see each other since they have a no contact order. Obviously...

It feels good getting things you need taken care of…taken care of…before 10:30 AM! Now I can revert back to welcoming distractions with open arms.
